Welcome to Music!
Parents, I will keep in contact with you through this webpage, Google Classroom, School Status and on our school Facebook page concerning lessons, assignments, etc. If you have not already subscribed to this page, please do so now! It will keep you informed when there is new information.
***ALL QUAVER accounts will remain active through June 30th! Students can get on Quaver throughout the summer and enjoy all the activities! (It would even be okay to complete the assignments they didn't complete during the school year 😉- They won't receive credit for them but there is valuable information they need to learn and/or review! And, our Music Olympics just might carry over into next school year! So, jump on in and have some fun!)
You will need to make sure that "Flash" is installed and active. If you do not have flash on you computer - no worries - they can still use Quaver, they just will not have access to the full site.
For assistance in logging in and completing assignments, click on this link for a video tutorial MUSIC K-4.
If you need your child's Quaver login information resent to you please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Also, don't forget to check this page for updated QUAVER CODES throughout the summer for free Quaver Notes!
Thank you all for you patience and cooperation as we ALL navigate this new scenario! Together, we become stronger!

4th Grade District Music Festival - March 12, 2020 (Music In Our Schools Month)
Honor Choir - Downtown for the Holidays (Pascagoula) and Lights and Lagniappe (Gautier)
Welcome to Music at Beach Elementary! This is my 6th year at Beach, 15th year in the Pascagoula-Gautier School District and 22nd year of teaching overall. Music has always been such a large part of my life from the very beginning. Both of my parents were musicians and they instilled in me a love for music and gave me a wide horizon and appreciation for all types of music, my favorite being Jazz. I have been involved in school and church choirs since I was old enough to sing and joined the school band in 4th grade. At the end of my 6th grade year I knew that I wanted to become a band director. I continued my music education throughout Jr. High, High School and The University of Southern Mississippi and achieved my goal of a Music Education degree. Since then, I have taught in Mississippi, Texas and Louisiana and have taught Band from beginner to high school, Music Appreciation, Fine Arts and Elementary Music. What I love most about teaching Music is having the opportunity to instill in children the fundamentals of music that will stay with them for a lifetime; things that can touch their soul when nothing else can. Teaching them discipline and structure through artistic freedom and expression.
